This deli needed to be updated to create cohesion between the existing appliances and storage racks and the building’s historical architecture. I helped to develop a solution that was based in cost-effective finish updates. Our inspiration came from French cafes and the existing ornate ceiling work which had been left to fade. I suggested durable wainscoting, chair rails, and matching covers for the existing salad bar and counters to create unity. New historical replica light fixtures help to articulate the ceiling’s beauty. I used AutoCAD to draft and Photoshop to render the floor plan, reflected ceiling plan and elevations.
